Three of the industry’s highest respected bass players have joined forces for The LOW Show. Bassists Adam Nitti, Bryan Beller, and Sean O’Bryan Smith will be combining their talents for a show sure to thrill music lovers of all types. Nitti, Beller, and Smith have all been recognized World Wide for their contributions to the instrument and modern music. The LOW Show will premiere in Nashville, TN at The Rutledge on February 20th, 2009.The LOW Show will feature this unique combination of talent in an evening of sheer sonic domination.
Adam Nitti has been establishing himself as both a bass-wielding frontman and contemporary jazz artist for well over a decade. Having also performed and recorded with a diverse collection of artists, including the Dave Weckl Band, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mike Stern, Peter Erskine, Phil Keaggy, Susan Tedeschi, Scott Henderson, Wayne Krantz, Casting Crowns, and Heather Headley, he has likewise earned his reputation as a distinguished studio bassist and sideman newly based out of Nashville, TN. A passion to inspire excellence in musicianship led Adam into co-founding www.MusicDojo.com, the first-ever interactive online music school. Adam is a tireless educator and touring clinician and is also a regular columnist for both Bass Player Magazine and Bass Musician Magazine. He has been featured in hundreds of music publications around the world and continues to bring unique voice and perspective to the bass playing community. Adam has 3 prior releases on his own Renaissance Man Records label. He currently celebrates the release of his 4th, entitled, “Liminal.”
Bryan Beller has maintained a frenetic, multi-faceted career as a bassist, composer, writer and clinician for over thirteen years, earning a reputation as a uniquely talented yet supremely tasteful hired gun bassist for adventurous rock guitarists and singer/songwriters alike. He was Steve Vai’s choice for the live band/orchestra CD/DVD Sound Theories, and toured worldwide with Vai throughout 2007. Other recent touring work includes the “band” Dethklok, a tongue-in-cheek extreme metal band borne of the hit Cartoon Network “Adult Swim” show Metalocalypse. He’s also been a musical partner of freak/genius guitarist Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa) for thirteen years, ten albums, countless tours, and millions of notes. On his own, Beller released his debut solo album, the jazz/rock-flavored View, in late 2003 to widespread critical acclaim, and his second album Thanks In Advance was released in late 2008, again to rave reviews. As a pure player, a composer, a masterclass clinician, a Contributing Editor for Bass Player Magazine, and a former Vice-President of SWR Sound Corporation, Beller brings a global perspective to the world of bass.”
Sean O’Bryan Smith has established himself as a highly sought after bassist, composer, writer, producer, and clinician. He has toured and/or recorded with artists like legendary country artists Billy Ray Cyrus and Sara Evans, Christian superstar Rebecca St. James, guitar icon Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, jazz trumpeter Rick Braun, and even the incomparable Mississippi Mass Choir as well as many more. He was Musical Director for the FOX TV Show Nashville in 2007 and has also had a highly successful solo jazz career. His ’08 release “Tapestry” has been met with global praise from music fans and fellow musicians alike. “Tapestry” was even voted the #1 Most Recommended CD Review of all times at All About Jazz.com. In addition to his solo career, Sean continues to tour and record with other jazz artists including the highly renowned Anna Wilson and smooth jazz chart topper Denny Jiosa. Sean is a dedicated educator as well as a clinician for Steinberger Instruments and Eden Electronics. He is also a regular contributing writer for Vintage Guitar Magazine, Premier Guitar Magazine, and Christian Musician Magazine.
With the combined musical background represented by these three artists The LOW Show is destined to be an event not to be missed. Details and other appearances are TBA.
