Hello everyone!
I’m thrilled to announce that I have just signed with a new booking agency, Blue Mouth Promotions, LLC (BMP), and they want to get an idea from you, our fans, about the best places for bands to play in your area. Although this doesn’t necessarily guarantee we’ll be playing in your backyard next time we’re out, if we can help BMP identify great venues and contacts they’ll have the potential to get us out your way during an upcoming tour. We can’t think of any better way to find the best places than to find out where YOU go to listen to great music!
Not all venues are appropriate, so here’s what we’re looking for:
- Venues with approximately 150-400 person capacity (U.S. only for now please!)
- Great sound system and sound guy
- THE place to play in town, even if it’s not quite as described above
- Links and contact person/number at the venue if you know anyone there
- City and State of venue
Please reply directly to BMP at adamnitti@bluemouthpromo.com. They’ll gratefully look into all your suggestions.
Thanks for your help, and hope we see you next time!
Sincerely,
Adam Nitti

Bassist/Recording Artist Adam Nitti Launches New Bass Educational Website, AdamNittiMusicEducation.com
New bass instructional video website offers curriculum-based learning with interactive options for feedback and critique
Nashville, TN (December 9, 2012) – Internationally-acclaimed bassist/recording artist Adam Nitti today announced the official launch of AdamNittiMusicEducation.com, a bass educational website featuring a curriculum-based approach to learning through the use of HD video lessons and interactive features. A culmination of Nitti’s many years of experience as a performer, composer, and music educator, AdamNittiMusicEducation serves as the the new home for all of his online music educational efforts and study materials. Courses are offered in technique, applied harmony & theory, groove & timekeeping, improvisation, ear training, and style studies, with options for students to get individualized critique and feedback along the way.
“When I was crafting the vision for AdamNittiMusicEducation, I knew from the beginning that I wanted it to be much more than just a collection of various video lessons archived on a website. I wanted it to offer a true academy-like experience, where students could feel like they were being guided through carefully-planned and thought-out programs of study designed to help them become better, more well-rounded bass players and musicians,” says Nitti. “Our interactive features also offer a more personalized experience for students looking to receive feedback on their progress or further clarification of lesson content.”
AdamNittiMusicEducation.com features HD video lessons for all levels, from beginner to pro, from 4 to 6 string bass. The site is compatible with all mobile devices and browsers, and students can conveniently study from anywhere with a broadband connection. A choice of membership plans is offered to fit a variety of budgets and needs, including an interactive membership option that allows students to participate in live video masterclasses and obtain individualized critique from Nitti through the site’s “Feedback Forum.” For those looking for a little extra guidance to help them get started, a “Virtual Advisor” feature is available to all students to help direct their learning path based on their playing level and desired topics of study.
The incredibly comprehensive AdamNittiMusicEducation library includes an ever-expanding collection of HD video lessons, bonus video content, and exclusive concert and bass clinic footage. Also included are Nitti’s collection of 4-week intensive courses formerly taught at MusicDojo.com, an interactive music education website co-founded by Nitti and fellow bassist/music educator Len Sitnick in 2003. Nitti adds, “The site is truly dynamic in that it grows as the student grows. New material is constantly being added each month, and because all of the curriculum is web-based, it can continually be maintained, updated, and improved to enhance the learning experience. Regardless of whether a player is interested in serious daily study or just wants to have some fun picking up some new techniques, we have something for just about every bass player interested in learning something new.”

We are proud to officially announce the opening of MusicDojo Nashville, Music City’s premier bass guitar academy and forum for musical development. Its name inspired by the online school, MusicDojo.com (currently home to my online interactive bass courses), MusicDojo Nashville provides an even more personalized educational experience aimed at sharing my vision for music education and establishing a musical identity. This new location now encapsulates all of my efforts to promote effective music education and additionally doubles as the headquarters for all of my music media projects and remote recording work.
We currently offer private, group, and webcam lessons for bass players custom-tailored to each student’s needs based on their skill level, experience, and personal goals. All levels and styles of players are welcome! We will also be hosting exclusive masterclasses from some of the finest players and clinicians in the world, covering such topics as performance, education, recording, composition, and production. Our inaugural clinic event takes place on April 4th and features the amazing Anthony Wellington, 2nd bassist for the Victor Wooten Band and founder of the Bassology bass school in Waldorf, MD.
New students are currently being accepted. For more information including rates, lesson times, and courses offered, please call 615.763.3865 or email musicdojo@adamnitti.com.

I am thrilled to announce that I will be relocating all of my music operations to a new location in South Nashville in January. Dubbed “MusicDojo” (its name synonymous with our online music school, MusicDojo.com), this space will be the new headquarters for all of my music education, recording, and creative projects. More official details will be announced very soon, but for now I can tell you that we have some very exciting events planned there that will take place in the near future. Check AdamNitti.com often for all of the latest information and announcements regarding this exciting new endeavor!

I am extremely humbled and honored to have an interview and profile included in the pages of jazz author and educator, Cicily Janus‘ latest book, The New Face Of Jazz, on Billboard Books. The New Face Of Jazz is an intimate, illustrated guide to the artists, venues, and festivals of today’s jazz scene. This book celebrates the living legends, current stars, and faces of tomorrow as they continue to innovate and expand the boundaries of this great musical legacy. In their own words, artists such as McCoy Tyner, Arturo Sandoval, Diane Schuur, Terence Blanchard, Charlie Hunter, Nicholas Payton, George Benson, Maria Schneider, Christian McBride, Randy Brecker, Jean-Luc Ponty, Joe Lovano, Lee Ritenour, and more than 100 others (including myself) share intimately about their beginnings, musical training, inspiration, and hard-earned lessons, creating a fascinating mosaic of the current jazz community. Photographer Ned Radinsky contributes 40 amazing black-and-white portraits of some of these musicians doing what they do best—playing. An appendix offers resources for jazz education; an exclusive reading list; and the lowdown on those organizations and societies doing their part to promote jazz as a living, breathing art form. With an introductory word from Wynton Marsalis, a foreword by Marcus Miller, and an afterword by Sonny Rollins, The New Face Of Jazz is an unprecedented window onto today’s world of jazz, for everyone from the devotee to the new listener.
