Production
Outside of performance and recording jobs, I am also a producer of music, specializing in independent artists and bands looking to create a “major label” sound from smaller budgets. I prefers to work with singer/songwriters, pop/rock bands, and instrumental projects, but will consider other genres if it is music I can connect with. I can also can assist with budget planning, songwriting, arranging, and referrals for studio musicians and other recording resources from project beginning to end. Why use a producer?
A great producer can help cast vision for a project and offer objective feedback and input. His or her role in the creation of an album can offer a creative edge that might not otherwise automatically conceived by the artist or band on their own. A producer of music is like the director of a motion picture. He or she oversees the entire project from birth to completion and helps to push the artist or band to obtain their best or otherwise most inspired performances. Producers can have individual ‘styles’ just like individual musicians have styles. Not every producer is a good match for every artist. Because of this, it’s important that you get to know your producer beforehand to insure that your respective visions for your music are in line.
